I exited the portal with kazi. This was the place.

"I don't suppose you've been here before?"

"Nope can't say that I have. Where are we? Looks like a pretty big place"

I returned Raven to its original form and walked forward abit.

"they aren't gonna try to hunt us are they?"

"Not until Ezer finds out what I did to his precious computer. Come, My girl is here, last time I checked."

I walked down a couple stairways, through a few corridors, and down a road. Kazi followed. We ended up at a nice house.

"Wow. Nothing changed. Well, the decorations look at bit better."

I lifted up the rug and grabbed the key, unlocked the door, and went inside.

"This is my place. Come on in, sit down, make yourself at home, because unless you got someplace better, this IS your home."

I turned around.

"Lilith? Are you home?"

I heard footsteps. I was so relieved. I was afraid they had taken her for experimentation as well.

It felt like hours since she had heard anthything remotly like people. She listened quietly for whom ever it was. She caught a couple of names here and there making sure to remember who and figure out whether she had run into them before or not. "Lilith? Are you home?" Coal sighed to herself and a frown painted over her face, how sad. She had to be the barer of bad news for sure, because when she exited the back room and came out he wouldn't be to pleased with this.

She opened the door quietly and brushed the hair out of her face. " Im afraid not." She said just loud enough to echo softly in the quiet house. This did look bad after all, she was in an empty house that apparently belonged to one of the persons now inside. Coal never knew where the key had been, and as far as she heard there was no forced entry.

She stood in the doorway and looked over the two males. "Hello." She said smiling, it was always a good idea to be nice to people when you first meet, beause you never know when you will need to use them.

I looked up to see someone who wasn't my Lilith. I knew then, that she was gone. Something sank deep into my heart. I would welcome her, as I had with Lilith. No one will say I was a bad host.

"Oh.... no....."

I attempted to hold it in, and almost failed.

"I don't suppose you've seen my Lilith, have you?"

I didn't know what to say. I was in shock.

"Well either way, welcome to my house. I have no idea how you got in, but I don't mind. consider this place yours as well. It's nice to meet you. You got a name?" I put forth my hand to shake.

She almost felt sorry for the guy who had been asking for this lilith character of his. He said her name as if he owned her, which shot a shiver down her spine. Shaking if off she made eye contact with him she was logging all of his features into her head. It was alwaya a quick process for her.

Her reply to his question was quick and sounded as if she carred deeply for his loss. "No" she breathed and closed her eyes.

What was she to say to him. How was there a way to explain how she came to stay in this house that did not in any way belong to her? That would have to wait because her train of thought was interupted when the man spoke once more. He wanted to know her name, and actually welcomed her into his home. Strange.

"Thanks for the welcome, but i think you should lend your name to me first before i give you mine." It was how she was, never give out your information unless they give out enough first. Trust issues were always the best when it came to greetings.

"Yes, I suppose introductions are in order. My name is..... actually, I don't have a name since I got kicked outta the organization. They used to call me Expesh. That was the name that was given to me by men I no longer serve. You may call me.... Darrien. My friend over their is Kazi. I have been though hell and back, and ended up losing a fight to someone who literally stole my heart. I'm fighting to get it, and my Fiancée Lilith back. Last I heard she was here, but that has obviously changed. I picked up my friend here from a far off land of Twilight Town, and have come home to find a strange women in my house."

I tried putting my hand out again.

"I think that sums everything up. You are?"

She listened silently as he narorated his life shortly. So he worked for people before hand, and his named changed from one to Darrien. She understood how that came into play clearly, but of course wouldn't let onto how much she knew. It was strange how he just spit out who lilith was to him, how his heart was stolen, and where he came from with nearly one breath. It came easy to him, she thought and smiled lightly trying to be warm.

Still ignoring the hand she spoke, louder then before, " Nice to meet you Darrien [she turned to the other male] Kazi." And then she directed her gaze back to darrien, her eyes darting to his hand for a breaf moment. "I myself go by Coal."

Taking a deep breath she reached out and took his hand. This was going to be an interesting stay at the house now.

I shook her hand gently, and did one of those cheesy kiss things.

"It's nice to meet you Coal. Now that I know the status of my dwelling, I think I'll stay here a while. Kazi, Coal, I'll be in the kitchen if you need me. Feel free to take whatever you want, My fridge, freezer, and pantry seem to stock themselves with odd foods."

I let go, and stepped into the kitchen to make myself a delicious grilled cheese sandwich.

Coal fought the erdge to cringe when he blew her a kiss. Who in heavens earth still did that? She took her hand back holding it to her chest with her left hand, wanting to wash it as quickly as possible. So the house wasn't going to be as silent as it had been before they arived, she had a bad feeling about that for sure.

"Well ill be in the back. Call if you need me, don't come back and give me any suprises." She started to turn away but just as she did she shot a playful glare at the two, life with questions was the best. But suprises however were never fun when you are the one being suprised.

I finished making my sandwich, and walked into back into the living room.

"Hey Kazi, I think you're gonna like this...."

I walked over to my bookcase, which had a label on it that said: -Please do not pull the third book from the right on the third shelf from the top. Thank you-. I pulled the third book from the right on the fourth shelf from the top, and the whole bookcase moved about five feet to the right.

"Come on, follow me, this shall be where we go to discuss matters of importance."

I pulled off the wretched thing I was wearing, and I hung it on the rack which was now located next to the bookcase. I opened a drawer in the dresser which was next to the rack, (I place things rather conveniently for situations such as this) and pulled out my suit I wore when I was still human. It was a combo of some black shorts, a nice black and grey t-shirt, a black button-up with a single grey stripe down each arm, and some black socks. I went down the staircase that the bookcase revealed, and motioned Kazi to follow. I ate the sandwich as I went down the staircase.

"So, Darrien eh?" I followed. Not suprised to see another unusual things such as a room behind a bookcase.

"Hope that girl doesn't miss us. She seems uncomftorable eh? Don't you wonder why she is in your home?"

"Honestly, right now, I'm more worried about where Lily is. She was supposed to be here."

I walked about another 30 feet when we came to an open doorway. Inside, it looked like it was recently made, and had been set up like a bunker would be for an apocalypse. Food, water, power, and a bed. On top of that though, there were tables all over the place, and one had a computer on it that was green. It looked pretty much liked the one I had seen earlier, except it was mine.

"Although I am pretty confused, it is a problem for another time. Right now, I've got to check something."

I walked up and started up the computer. It would take a few minutes. I grabbed 2 sodas, threw one to Kazi, and sat down in one of the chairs.

"So where do we go from here, my friend? After I get everything squared away here, it's really up to you."

"Ive got no story myself at the moment. Before you came I just wandered and hoped for the best. Shouldn't we look for this Lilly person? I'm suprised you never talked of her before. I guess the emotionless part probly had something to do with it."

I was still sidetracked from things that happent today.

"I guess if you can't think of anything I will find something for us to do."

I opent the soda and chugged it.

"plenty of worlds out there, finding a new adventure shouldn't be hard."

I wiped my mouth and waited for a response

"Yes, I suppose you're right, just wondering if you wanted anything or had plans."

The computer had turned on by now. I turned to it and the enter password screen was showing. I typed in (Lilith) and it turned on. After about 2 minutes, I had the program I wanted running. It was a tracker program I had made called "crawler". I turned to Kazi.

"I knew something like this might happen, so I was prepared. This entire house is wired to the teeth with weaponry and tech. I should probably mention this isn't where I was born. My home world..... well we'll get to that later. Right now, I have to find Lilith!"

I pressed a few keys, and before you know it, I had a signal.

"Holy shit, she's in the city! She's still here! This day just keeps getting better and better. I'm gonna go see if she's alright. It looks like she's at the wharf."

I got up from my chair, and turned towards the door.

"You coming?"

Which was my way of saying I could use a little action. I grinned, ready to run when Darrien was.

"was Darrien your name before Expesh?"

"Strangely enough, no. My name was Peseh. Pronounced Pace. But that man, along with Expesh, are gone now. I was a actor before I became what I am. I'm used to changing my identity."

Grey appeared in my hand, and he had taken on a bluish tint. He seemed eager to battle.

"More running! Fun..."

I headed out the way I came, yelling to coal as I left.

"We'll be back shortly with Lilith. Don't burn the house down while we're gone!"

I ran after Darrien, not saying a word as we passed Coal.

We ran down the roads of Hollow Bastion, which was a lil simpler than a maze.

We made it to the wharf. It was not good. I saw her. She was face down, floating in the water.

"....... no.... No.... NO.... NO!!!"

This was one of the worst things that had ever happened in my life, and I can't even feel it. It drove me nuts. I managed to pull her out of the water, and she hadn't drown. She had been murdered. A slash across the chest. Don't know what type of sword, it was weird. I didn't care. There was a note attached to her neck. It had written on it "#2, and more to come"

I felt Fury, an anger like no other. I could feel it. At least I thought I could. This bracelet wasn't exactly perfect. Either way, The one who killed her would pay.

"This does NOT end here. I will find the one who did this, and they will know a fate worse then DEATH!"

I turned to Kazi.

"I feel I must ask of your help one last time, my friend. I don't know if you've ever felt this much sadness in your life, but I know that had I been able to feel sad, I wouldn't be standing right now. The one who caused her death will pay, and I need your help finding him. Another adventure is ahead of us, and I feel that it will not be the last."

I threw a portal down to my home world. I intended to get the help of my brother.

"We must find my family, only they will know what to do."

I entered.

Coal listend to the soft hums of the two men talking in the kitchen. This house traveled well and nearly everything was noticed. She sat on the bed in the room she had picked as her own. It had floral designed wallpaper, how taky she remembers thinking when she first met the room, but it grew on her and for some reason she felt like it was the proper room for her to stay. Everything else in the room was neat and in place, clothes either folded correctly or hung in the closet. Her favorite thing about the room however was the jewlery box on the dresser. It was hand made as far as she could tell. The sides had cute characters on it, and when you opened the lid it would play a pleasent tune that she had caught herself humming quite often these days. It had a strange feel to it.

Getting off the bed, Coal walked back out the door and down the hall. But she was stopped by Darrien. "We'll be back shortly with Lilith. Don't burn the house down while we're gone!" She had a bad feeling about this Lilith girl of Darriens, something wasn't going to go right. She stood in the opening of the hallway and watched as they left. She half waved just before the door shut. "In such a hurry for bad news."

She sighed to herself and walked into the kitchen. As long as she lived in this house it had looked like that. The computers, bed, and tables hadn't changed. Except for the computer was turned on. She looked back at the door to the front of the house. They had left what would they do if she read over what they left on. It was a free game in her mind. At the top was 'Lilith' and below it the map and directions to where she was. A bit creeped out by the though Coal backed away from the computer.

Then it came to the front of her mind. What would happen when they came back. Would this Lilith be with them. Alive or dead? She shuttered the thought of bringing a dead girl into the house. There was no need for it. She walked to the fridge and grabbed a water bottle, leaninng on the counter she staired at the back of the computer letting her mind drift.

I appeared next to Kazi, grabbed him, and took him with me through the corridor of light. We ended up outside my house.

"We have to talk."

I dragged him through the house until I got to my computer. I scanned the paper onto the hard drive. I then put the paper through the paper shredder. I downloaded the file onto a jump-drive, and then I deleted it from the computer. Better digital then manual, I always say.

I knew that coal was in here somewhere. I knew she was listening, and I didn't care.

"I was told by an old friend of yours to tall you that New York, your home, is gone."

I looked him over.

"I want to see Raven. Now."

I was flustered...who could have told him about any of this. Especially Raven, the only one who knew of it by that was... well he dissapeared. Why should that matter?

I pulled out a ball from midair. It was Raven in its form. A black ball.

"Here, I don't know why you want to see it but I trust its for a good reason. Who told you about New York city? It's been soo long since I have heard of it"

"An old friend of yours told me about it, and he accidentally left directions. He didn't want his name mentioned." I pulled out the jump drive. "This is all we need. We can go anytime you want. Just as soon as I talk to you about something."

I pointed towards Raven.

"It has a mind of its own, doesn't it? Where did it come from? How do you use it? Why do you have it now? I'm sorry for being so inquisitive. I'll answer your question as soon as I know I'm safe. I have been given reason to believe that this Raven thing has its own agenda."

I plugged the jump drive into My computer, and after a few clicks, had read through the file that I had been given. I now knew how to get there. I removed the jump drive and I pocketed it.

I looked over, saw Coal, and said hello.

"Hi, I just had a really bad day. All that was left of my human life has died, and now I've been permanently kicked out of the only family I had. I've decided to start over. Me and Kazi are brothers now. Not real brothers, but close enough. You're welcome to join us if you wish. I've got some work to do, so I'll be right here on my computer."

"It sort of has a mind of its own. Raven follows a person til their death, unless they become weak. It's intentions are unknown really. I like to think it follows a legend. On my home planet, a Raven signifies something. It was a bird that passed souls from one world to the other. Same with Crows."

I knew this to be true. Raven had told him briefly of its history somehow. Not much, just enough to show that the weapon had gone through many generations of warriors.

(that is the original reason kazi got Raven, though it was a weapon to deal with a certain annoying crow.)

"As far as where it comes from, it finds you. I don't know how it works. I just woke up next to it a long time ago. It works by mind. Think of a weapon and it changes to fit your needs. If you want to try it go ahead, just remember he is unstable. It took long to master it, and I couldn't make it into two blades til I had the thing mastered."

I handed the ball over. Ready to make it fade if it did anything stupid.

"so were headed to earth or do you have another agenda?"

"I suppose that makes a little sense. The man who informed me of this was Erzerberkx, though I no not if that was his name before he became a nobody. We all took on new names when we became what we are. He made it seem like you and him knew each other from long ago, back on earth."

I stepped back from the orb. I remembered something, but it was so vague that it hurt trying to think about it.

"I need not examine it any further. It seems to be trustworthy. I trust you as well. Yes, we shall head off to Earth. I vaguely remember something, but I can't remember what it was. It had something to do with a place on Earth...... My memory is eluding me. If I remember it, I'll tell you."

I concentrated on the focus point I was looking for. The corridor opened.

"I hope we don't die. I'm not exactly sure what I'm preparing for, but what the hell."

I stepped into the light, as grey appeared in my hand.
