A large leather-bound notebook with a large, see through bottle green stone on the clasp. There are five gashes on the front, like that of a claw rake.

Today my mother got me this fancy notebook with this pretty stone on the front. She figured I could use something to write in. I doubt i'll have any use for this, but i'll try to write in it if I feel like it. I still like the look of it, though. My fri------------------- today, but------ I hope school ends soon. It's really st----------
Som--- life can be boring. I'm told not to complain, but whatever. I want adventure. I remember hearing the woods hold------------ true, can it? I was gonna have ---------- and check it out. I know they'd both want to go with me. We're gonna go when there's a full moon next, so there's light to see by. I'm excited.
I also got a guitar the other day, with -----------ew job. It's the nicest shade of brown, even though brown is kind of ugly. The tune is nice, and it's really easy to learn so far. I really want to get good. ---------- only an ---- tone, but---------------------------------
I'm excited for the next couple weeks. Summer is always sort of nice....... But... lots-----------ge things have----- happening. At night, I hear------ door. It's subtle, but------ough the night. And sometimes, i---------- glowing yellow orbs, like eyes. It's not really----- though. I try to----- but nothing answers, and it just make my parents mad when they think i'm tal-----yself. They don't understand, but it's alright. I ---- them.
I'm getting------------------- to sleep early. I ------------- and make contact--------
It'll be fun.

Day 5
The past few n--hts have bee- very strange. I he-- v--ces at night, b-- I can't make out what they say. And last n---t, it got really... well, inky bla--, but just in my room. The moon looked like the sun when it entered my window... But i'm told the m--d -lays tricks on you.
And another strange thing was when me --- {The names of three people are scratched out by claw marks} went to visit the fo--st. Not that we -aw anything, th---h. Just sounds.... horrible sounds. Honestly, like th--gs you would expect to come from the nig-t... and they were close at times....

--- that still amazes me. But.... well, atleast my guitar playing has gotten alot better. I really do love music. But after last night, I don't think i'm going to live a normal life. There's no way.

Day 12
No.
It's impossible.
I believed so long that good would always prevail...
Where w-s the light last night? When those.... things appeared out of nowhere, and killed them... all three, turned ri--t into black mist, and.... Oh, it couldn't be, but I think I saw their very souls leave, sucked right up by those things..... and they just stared at me. Yellow eyes from different k--ds of things.... but all yellow, eerie ey-s.....
And I ran. I ran as fast as possible. And when I got home.... they were already here, too. And I just saw my parents die. Or w--tever happened....
But now I understand. Those things.... they could only be from darkness. And they spared me. They were just doing their job, and they still spared me. The light didn't help anybody. We valued our high morals, thi- -mall town. And yet da---ess is my savior.
I understand. I u---rstand. Yes.......... and I accept darkness. I love darkness. I -eed darkness. I wa-t it. And the only way to have complete darkness is with no l--ht. The darkness wants me to help it, i'm sure, for it --ared me. Twice. And even now they make noises around town, no doubt fin---ing those left.....
Hmm. I feel.... strange. B-- {the sentence is stopped short, ending the entry. However, there is a sign of the bottom right edge of the page being clutched tightly, and strange black spots stain the page. It seeps down several pages}

Day 20
I didn't wake up untill earlier this morning. I don't know much that happened, except before I passed out I started coughing up blood. Or... something. It was really dark colored. Like ink.
I don't know what happened to me, but i'm hearing a voice. Atleast, I know something is saying things to me, but I don't know if it has a voice. Surely this isn't insanity.....
And I've been getting a strange urge to play my guitar. Of all things to do. I need to figure out what to do.... Well, a storm is starting. Strange for this time of year. I need to go.

Day 21(I think)
I'm not sure how many days it's been. It feels like last night, but I don't really know. Let alone, I don't care. I finally got to a calm area in this town, though I don't know where or what this town is. I don't know how I got here.... though maybe that storm was just so violent, it threw me to the other side of the world.....
Though, I don't think so. That was no ordinary storm. And there was this giant black... human thing. It was so tall. And why did I take my guitar with me? It doesn't make any sense..... but it changed color. Like blood. And then things got really dark, and something hit me in the chest and knocked me unconscious....
But the sound of the guitar is strange... different. But not a different tuning or anything... I can't describe it. Pity I can't play it too well....
And I can swear I hear it talking to me. I know it's the guitar. But, it's also from inside me... It's name is Broken Harmony. That much I know.
I need to find out what happened to me. Where i'm at. What happened. But i'll start in the morning.

Day 27
So I am on another world. I could never have guessed I lived in such a small portion of space....
In fact, this has brought about several startling realizations about myself. I never knew I could kill so easily. I had to get money, and definitely needed to change my clothes.... and noone noticed. They just disappeared, anyway. Some shining thing flew away as they disappeared....
And I can't believe my weapon was my guitar! A sword came right out of the guitars' body, glowing black... and that's weird to say (or write, whatever), but it was glowing black. Like the mist those people turned into.
Tomorrow starts a new day.... what fun.

Day 35
I'm on another different world! This is the third time i've changed worlds over the past... what, fifteen days? How?! I don't understand how I keep traveling- and there's never any storm or anything. I just go to sleep... and wake up on a different planet.
I encountered a woman today. She tried to extend kindness to me, but she looked at my guitar weird.... I didn't trust her. I had to eliminate her. Just like another one, on the last planet I was on. Except, she caught me disposing of someone else. She saw the darkness of my blade, asked me what was wrong with me. Hah. What a fool.
I've seen eyes at night... those yellow eyes. They come when I practice my guitar for long amounts of time. And i'm getting better. I've got little to do but play this strange instrument.....

Day 840

It is strange. Today I have seen many interesting things. Learned many interesting things. I can summon these creatures of darkness. Heartless. Very fitting for snuffing out the light. I also met people who seem to defy reality. They don't have hearts, yet.... wouldn't that make them heartless as well? They say they are nobodies... and Broken Harmony does not react to them in any way. Even beings of darkness elicit a reaction from this guitar....
I have also determined that I must still be very weak. This Leixand character has given me reason to believe so.
I have much work to do. But for now, I will follow those who know more about these powers. Not to mention, I will likely learn much more about the universe.
